Riverdance 30 – The New Generation will be taking to the Gaiety Theatre stage this summer and this year’s charity partner is Barnardos. Barnardos is one of Ireland’s largest children’s charities which provides practical and emotional support, and specialist services, to vulnerable children, families and individuals affected by traumatic life experiences – traumas such as consistent poverty, abuse or neglect, separation, bereavement or parental addiction and poor mental health.  

The main event of this partnership is a sponsored 12-hour Riverdanceathon which takes place on Thursday 19^th June in front of the Gaiety Theatre. Over 500 dancers from Irish dancing schools across Ireland will take part to raise money to support Barnardos work.    

With their incredible support, Barnardos will be able to create safe spaces for children to learn, grow, and thrive. Barnardos believe that every child deserves a fair chance at a brighter future. By asking family and friends to sponsor their dancing, these young dancers will be helping to change the story for so many children – children the same age as them.
